Brushing our hair may seem like a simple task, but doing it in the right manner can make a world of difference! This fundamental step not only detangles your locks but helps distribute natural oils, promoting healthier hair. By brushing your hair properly, you can prevent breakage and keep your hair looking vibrant and shiny. Remember, a little care goes a long way!

1. Wet hair is significantly more fragile and prone to breakage than dry hair, as the proteins within the hair strands form weaker bonds when wet. Brushing your hair when it is wet will cause more hair loss , split ends and damage to the hair texture . First pat dry and then air dry your hair .

2. Use a soft centered paddle brush , make sure the hair brush bristles don't have any rough edges to them . 

3. Start brushing your dry hair from the bottom ends . Hold the hair just above the point where you are brushing . 

4. Your Hair will be tangled up at the bottom much more than the hair length's as you go up , Brushing out the tangled hair from bottom to top will make sure you don't loose hair when brushing , take small steps , a few inches at a time . Bottom to Top always .

5. Gradually work your way up the hair , brushing down as you go up , holding the hair just above the point where you are brushing .

6.Once your hair has been properly brushed thoroughly bottom to top then you can brush the hair top to bottom to style the hair .

Washing the hair is a very debated issue these days there is a whole no shampoo movement out there where we see a range of women recommending not to use shampoo on their hair and the benefits of not washing the hair regularly . My experience with hair wash has been a trial and error experience along with inputs from ayurveda sources . 

​

I wash my hair and scalp with water every day , but i never use warm or hot water directly on my head as per ayurvedic methodology , i only use cold water on my head .

 

I don't use any shampoos i use fullers earth / multani mitti , (Multani Mitti is a mineral rich volcanic clay, used in many skin creams and other beauty products , you can buy the clay online in a powdered form or in its original form as a stone and mash it to a powder at home , email me if you cant find it ) along with turmeric , i make a paste out of it with about 95 % Multani Mitti and 5 % turmeric, i wash my hair and then put this paste on my scalp and hair , i leave it on for 10 minutes and then wash it out , or i use the ayurvedic herb Bhringraj , again in powdered form which i make a paste of by mixing water and apply on my wet hair again leaving it in for 10 minutes before washing it out , this done once a week gives me a very good result with a reduction in hair loss as well as silky soft hair ! Remember these steps will immediately give you silky soft hair and in a brief period slow down the hair loss but as with any thing related to natural living this is a long term process and you must follow it for at least a few months to see brilliant results and a few years to get a permanent solution !

Hair Food !

Once i realized i am suffering from heavy hair loss and if i don't mitigate it immediately i will go bald in a few years , i did a lot of research online and through my spiritual Guru to get some very effective food options and routines to help manage my hair loss , my body and my spiritual self ! three foods that i found easiest to source and the most effective as well are given below .

 

Here’s a concise summary of my findings:  diet plays a crucial role in slowing hair loss down. I have stopped my hair loss, and seen significant improvement in hair quality by incorporating certain foods and routines in my daily life. The following 3 foods have worked wonders for me and i think they should be good for you as well !  Just make sure to consume them in the correct manner mentioned below.

Eating and digesting food starts long before you actually eat and ends a long time after you have eaten , don't drink water in the 30 minutes prior to your meal and 1 hour after you have eaten a meal , also during the meal water should not be consumed !  

 

The First step in eating food is actually to eat the food with your eyes , your nose and your hands .. what does that mean ?  Well long before we actually chew the food and bring it into our stomach our body has already started creating the right kind of saliva to digest the food depending on what the eyes see on the plate and what the nose can smell . using these 2 senses the body decides what kind of saliva is best for the digestion of the foods that will be consumed immediately , Further when the hands touch the food without the use of spoons or forks where possible the sense of touch that the hands generate gives the body another input to the right manner of digesting the food ! for this bodily process to work you must be a bit patient and just sit and look at the food for 1 whole minute , until our body can choose the right saliva to produce to digest the food ! When i eat a meal , i do sit and stare at the food and i realized at about the 40 second mark while staring at the plate of food my tongue produces saliva ! So if i were to just sit down and start eating the food immediately the food will not digest in the correct manner to be able to get the maximum benefit of the food being consumed as the right type of saliva has not been produced by the tongue ! 

​

Remember to chew your food till it is completely juiced or at least count 40 bites for each mouth full of food , so your body can then absorb the nutrients it contains , if you chew the food just a few times and swallow it , it wont give you the complete nutrition it is able to provide you. In Ayurveda there is a saying that paraphrased means " Chew your Water and Drink your Food ! " , literally chew your water , take the water in your mouth , move your jaw in the manner you would while chewing food and take in a small gulp of water one at a time down your throat , and chew your food thoroughly this forms small nano particles of food that the body can then easily absorb !

The information that follows is me sharing part of the knowledge give to me by my Spiritual Guru  , Please consider the information ahead marked as 1 > and 2 > as a guide and consult with your own Spiritual Guru, Healer, Ayurvedic Vaidya, Shaman, Naturopath , Homeopath , Unani Medical practitioner, or Chinese Medicine practitioner before you implement it .

1 > Eating food is not a simple set up of just eating what you want when you want , always make sure you eat as per the terrain you live in , when possible eat just the foods indigenous to your location as these will be easiest to digest and will take less energy to digest , always remember that every time you eat , the human body rushes blood from various parts of the body to the stomach to digest the food, so if the body feels the blood supply to your hair is not essential as it does not have enough blood to digest your food as well as at the same time having enough blood supply to sustain your hair , then the body will automatically choose the act of digesting the foods over growing hair and this could also lead to hair loss , reduce the number of times you eat .

 

When you put food in your stomach 3 or 4 times a day you make the body rush the available blood to the stomach depriving all the other assumed non essential body parts of vital blood ! initially come down to eating 2 times a day and eventually just once a day ! you can do it  ! i have been eating 1 meal a day since 23 November 2023 and trust me i am healthier than i have ever been , before staring my routine of 1 meal per day first for almost 6 months i reduced the number of my meals to just 2 , once before noon and once around 4 pm , then slowly i realized i can further reduce the number of times i eat and just got it down to 1 , complete organic vegetarian diet once a day ( no wheat either, just millets locally grown  ) ! I also as per ayurvedic methods do not eat after sundown as our digestion is linked to the sun as well and we are unable to properly digest food after sundown ! 

​

2 > I also fast at least 24 different times a year on a particular spiritual day called Ekadashi , it is usually the 14th day after the full moon or the 14th day after the no moon day ! Other spiritually significant days also can be spent in fasting to give the body time to recharge its self and recover from the act of living which is actually the body decaying and dying !

​

My guru calls eating 1 time a day , " the road to immortality !! "

​

I have more energy now than i have felt in my whole life , try it ! It's fantastic !

​

Now to our effective foods for hair loss !

​

  1. Almonds - Soak 6-8 almonds overnight , Peel them and then eat them first during breakfast , i chew them until they are completely juiced , then i swallow .

  2. Black Sesame Seeds - soak a hand full of black sesame seeds all night , then drain them in the morning , set an open pan on low heat , put the sesame seeds in the pan, first dry , then roast them in the pan , continuously stirring them so they don't pop or burn , once properly roasted , you can eat them with breakfast.

  3. Indian goose berry - raw or cooked , every morning. It was easier to get cooked sun dried goose berry rather than fresh raw ones regularly . But this super food in its sundried or raw form made a big difference in stopping the hair loss . Dry Indian Goose Berry ( Or any other Dry Goose Berry )  will need to be soaked for at least 1 hour before you eat it. Consumed every morning along with my breakfast this tangy treat is phenomenal for hair health .

these three foods consumed every day first for breakfast in the correct manner for a few months stopped the heavy hair loss that had suddenly come into my life.

​

This is not a regime to be given up after a few months though ! once i did stop these foods , i realized that a few weeks later the hair loss was starting again .. .. so its best to take this into you life for a few years before the imbalance that has been created in your body is stabilized !

Breathe in, Breathe Out, Let Go !

I wont go over the reasons of why stress causes hair loss or the mechanism of action that causes hair loss due to stress , there are enough research reports you can read online to understand this point .

 

All i can tell you is about my routine that keeps me stress free .

 

I Follow 3 spiritual routines every day that build up a beautiful charge in my body that keeps me relaxed and fit , spiritually , physically and mentally  .

 

The first step is Pranayama , it is a simple yogic process of breathing i follow , just take any time of the day , preferably in the morning but any time will do , sit in a quite place away from all distractions , get comfortable , close your eyes and just breath deeply in and out , you can put on some scented candles or burn some incense to help you relax . Just breathe deep , take in the universal energy and breathe out letting the negativity out .it really works in every aspect of my life , to de stress and renew . Just purposefully close your eyes and let the world out of your mind , body and your heart. Just breathe , slow and deep and let go ! there are many variations of this exercise  you can learn them for free online .

 

The second Spiritual exercise i do is Surya namaskar , this is a yogic spiritual exercise that keeps me in sync with the sun all day , as the sun progresses through the sky minute by minute , second by second you stay connected with it spiritually every moment through the day , sunrise to sunset as you have done the exercise to connect with it , best time to do this is 30 minutes before sunrise as this will then keep you in sync with the sun from the moment it rises up until sunset . In the west Surya Namaskar is often called sun salutation but really it is not a salute rather a collection of synching , DNA changing , energy pattern creating circuit diagrams of the human body ! call it Surya namaskar when you are doing this exercise so the energy pattern in the words Surya namaskar also enter your body ! If possible do the mantras associated with each pose of the Surya namaskar practice , these mantras are actually energy pattern creating arrangement of alphabets and beej aksharas ( vibrations ) ! there are many gurus teaching Surya namaskar for free online and you should take the time and learn this simple spiritual process !

​

The third and final spiritual exercise i do , and i never though i would indulge in spiritual practices other than my own cultural reach ! is actually Falun Gong , Or Falun Dafa as it is called , it is a collection of various spiritual traditional exercises that have been bought together and compiled by Mr Lee Hongzhi , it is a 5 step process that takes about 30 to 45 minutes to complete but trust me its worth the time put in . They have a website that teaches the first 5 exercises for free along with audio and video content you can down load and use at home .

​

These 3 spiritual routines will give you mental peace , physical vitality and a clear sense of what your true energy and potential as a human is ! Club these along with the right foods , eating habits and right techniques to take care of your hair and you can stop the hair loss !

Remember you have been through a million different births before you were given a human body to use , you have earned the right to use and enjoy a human body ! ! Don't let hair loss get you down !
